The History of the Movies in America. Eadweard Muybridge (1830-1904) was an English photographer important for his pioneering work in photographic studies of motion and in motion-picture projection. He is the one of the first to show “moving pictures”. He wagered that a horse leaves all four of its feet and created the Zoopraxiscope to prove it. Edison realized motion pictures could attract a paying audience and he holds rights over all aspects of motion picture technology. Then they used the old machine to photographic reproduction of moving objects and made the pictures moved in a rapid sequence as blended them together. Edison invented the negative which can using sensitized plates to bring the lens together, to made the motion of picture to receive the successive exposures. Finally, the movie started to became popular.
